Commercial job for Grocon Pty Ltd. The old St Margarets' Hospital site in Bourke Street, Surry Hills. With conversion to inner city apartments, the original chapel is to be converted to a cafe. A round building with an 8 metre radius, the designers called for Cedar Bi Fold Doors in 5 openings to follow this curved radius. The doors were segmented internally with the frame and tracks curved to match the radius. A challenging job with an excellent result in both function and aesthetics. |
